Schere, Stein Papier

  rock, paper, scissors

Machine for strategy relaying

Scissors-rock-paper is a game that probably all over the world is known and also works the same everywhere. From august to september 2011 i went from vienna to shanghai by train and played the game against other people on the whole journey. Always under introspection – I analysed the change of my strategy and my success in the game and with each try i tried to be better as my rivals but this depended on my daily condition and on the experience that i had made. It was always this experience – from each game – that helped me by the evolution of my strategy and so the method for the perfection of the decisionmaking (rock, paper or stone) was/is ad hoc.In the installation about the project there are two hand exoskelets. The user’s hands are attached on this exoskeletons and will be moved by them. In the right hand he will replay all moves that i had made on the journey and in the left hand is the replay of all moves from my opponents. It is a try to reconstruct for the user the journey over his locomotor system and to train his skills in rock-paper-scissors with my experience.
