20 artists mark out their claims on an uninhabitated island. The locations thus delimited and the consecutive artistic projects are connected by medial transformation. The space of these geotagged claims, which will be done by air waves (GPS receivers), is a hybrid space, a medial architecture containing an explicit reference to the specific geographic location. The resulting media composition becomes a body, the marked location is its condition.
The material found in a particular claim (be it acoustic, visual, zeitkörperlich, etc), serves as feedstock for linear or nonlinear and/or algorithmical compositions. The resulting audio/code/movie pieces are directly GPS-tagged to the original location. In this claims one does not search for space filling matters in the sense of something to touch (gold, nobel metal), but for objects that receive their physicalness by representing a location.
Thereby a geography of transformation is developed, a land survey by creating representatives. The map of these transformations is not clinical; the idea of an accurate figure of an Euclidean space is replaced by a topology of interpretation. The existence of the island as a geographic site falls into dependency of its observer.
